It is not enough to simply have a design because there are many issues that could affect the realization of the construction of the designed piece of architecture. This has been the case since the first human being built the first piece of architecture. And, perhaps also as timeless is the importance of always keeping in mind the necessity of possessing the passion and determination to see a design through, no matter the obstacles. The following paper examines various issues that affect the realization of architecture. Issues Affecting the Realization of Architecture When a person designs a building, a bridge, a stable, or a home, whether it be for themselves or for someone else there are many factors that must be taken into consideration if the architecture is to be actually realized. For example, an architect could envision and design a something that would work, structurally, in one location, one geographical location, but not in another. This indicates that in most, if not all cases, the geographical location must be considered when the realization of architecture is desired. As an example a house that may work in the Southwest, in relationship to its composition and materials, may not work in the Northwest where the weather is far more wet and thus requiring different materials, than in the Southwest. A house or building may work incredibly well when built upon rocks, but not when built upon the muskeg that is found in many parts of Alaska. In light of such simple examples it becomes very clear that any architectural design must take its environment into consideration as well if the design is to be realized.
