justice system is not embodying the characteristic of equality than this can only be assessed by looking for evidence of inequality, if it cannot be found then it is unlikely
to be present to any significant level, if there is evidence of inequality it may be used to develop policies and strategies to increase equality. There are many potential
sources of inequality that result in different treatment. Areas that are most likely to indicate inequality will be where people treated differently simply because they are difference, differences that we
can focus on include class and economic utility and race. When looking at the potential sources of inequality it is also important to remember they do not work in isolation;
there are large interactions. For example, those from ethnic minorities may also be many of those living in the greatest degree of poverty. There is always a potential
bias in any system that has the danger of becoming an inequality. The basis of the law and the Criminal Justice System is that all men are equal before the
law and that all people are innocent until proven guilty. However, there are some aspects of the actual system that may engender inequality. It has been noted by many philosophers
