in large part to the forensic scientists who solve crimes via test tubes. The public seems to be enthralled with this technology, despite not having a true understanding of
both its capabilities as well as its limitations. And yet, this is not at all the reality. The reality
is that forensic science is indeed very limited in terms of its capabilities. Furthermore, there are significant limitations in forensic science based upon a variety of other factors as
well, such as the poor administration of forensic science even when its use could be considered appropriate. In other words, the use of forensic science in the criminal justice
setting often does not result in justice being served. In fact, quite often just the opposite is the case. Therefore, it becomes imperative to understand the reasons for
this situation, in order to attempt to avoid further instances of injustice and the inappropriate use of available technologies. Forensic Science and the Criminal Justice System
