is the assumption that the higher the grade the greater the intellect. However, if we look to well known intellectual such as Albert Einstein we have to question this perception.
He did gain a doctorate, but generally his marks in his academic performance were mediocre at best, it was only alter in his career that his mind was recognised for
the genius is contained (OConnor and Robertson, 1997). If we look at the aspect of intellect and psychological health there is also the
assumption that those with a higher level of intellect are more able to process the information around them and deal with divergent situations. Yet, against, there are examples where this
is not true, one of the more visible examples as a result of the film A Beautiful Mind, is that of John Nash, the well known Nobel Prize winning mathematician
who suffered from schizophrenia. However we can argue that his recovery has been as a result of his intellect so this can be a two way argument, There is also
little doubt that this did not bring him happiness. With these examples and the interaction intellect we may still be left wondering
exactly what the link, if any, is between variables such as academic success, psychological well being and happiness determined by intelligence. To
