plausible prediction" (Marx, 1998, p. PG), was that the working class central role in the political movement would ultimately prove devastating to family life as it had heretofore been recognized.
Marxs (1998) claim that "of all the classes that confront the bourgeoisie today, the proletariat alone is a really revolutionary class" (Marx, 1998, p. PG) asserts that capitalism would
never be considered a workable aspiration, even though there was a tremendous economic advantage to such a system. In spite of Marxs (1998) negative claims with regard to the influence
of capitalism, it can be argued that the very instances he warned against have come to light in some form or another. Without question, one can easily recognize the
reality of many predictions that exist within The Communist Manifesto : A Modern Edition, inasmuch as Marx (1998) had a significant insight to what this particular political system held for
its people. Indeed, there is more evidence of these predictions in contemporary society than has existed since the manifesto was first published. Evident of this fact is the
immediate expansion of globalization after World War II as a direct result of transport and communication advancement, which offered a "cosmopolitan character to production and consumption in every country" (Marx,
