just that are afflicted with it but also those that are associated with autistic individuals. Unfortunately, the rate through which autism is manifesting in contemporary times is faster than
that of any other developmental disability (Fittipaldi-wert and Mowling, 2009). One child is diagnosed with autism every twenty-one minutes in fact (Fittipaldi-wert and Mowling, 2009). An estimated one
in 150 eight year olds are autistic (Leach and Collins, 2009). Not surprisingly, people are seeking answers as to what causes autism. One suspected cause is vaccinations.
These suspicions have resulted in significant controversy since vaccines are considered to be imperative in maintaining public health. As will be seen below, however, researchers have clearly demonstrated
that vaccinations are not the cause of this troubling condition. Indeed, the thesis can be presented that: while the precise cause of autism has not been identified,
the condition manifests because of improper embryonic neurodevelopment Autism is manifests before a child is ever born. Despite that fact, thousands of families have become convinced over
the years that certain vaccines given during infancy are a causative factor in autism (Landers, 2009). Stories abound about happy healthy infants whose lives changed the moment they received
