sentiment exists in much (but not all) of the Islamic world. There are many factors that have led to this ultimate hatred. Much of the Muslim world sees the wealth,
the unwavering support of Israel and the religious and egalitarian freedom that much of the western world experiences and they resent it. In addition, they constantly see an American presence
in their home countries and they grow an inevitable hatred towards these western countries because they view as nothing more than occupation and imperialism. For example, many Afghans claim that
on the pretext of combating terrorism, the US-led invasion of Afghanistan has rather blatantly committed an act of terror itself. They say that the country that claims to be the
defender of civil rights turns out to be a violator of the civil rights of other people in another country. The same is true with the scenario in Iraq. Many
Iraqi citizens have had their lives turned upside down following the invasion and they had nothing to do and did not care for Suddam Hussein and his regime. And as
America and these western powers work to fight terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq, the conflicts that occur in these two countries are inevitably causing other terrorist networks to commit terrorist
