equipment. These items will constitute the business primary lines, but it also will carry a number of related products as well. These related products will consist of CD
players as equipment add-ons, pedometers, videos, exercise-related CDs and DVDs and similar products. The purpose here is to examine Acmes choices in inventory
management, including valuation and rotation policy. Product Types As stated, Acme will be selling hard lines. The products are purely mechanical or
electronic, and there is no characteristic of any product that renders it perishable. Thus Acme Fitness is free to manage its inventory in any way it pleases in terms
of what needs to be sold first. There are no expiration dates or other constraints under which Acme will need to operate in managing its inventory.
Also as stated above, the products that Acme Fitness will carry are those which provide means, motivation or instruction in attaining higher levels of personal fitness.
The products are not for commercial use, but target the individual seeking to build a home gym. Those customers who may have the desire to build a home
gym but not have the current resources necessary will be able to learn about the various products available at present and will be able to take advantage of Acmes full
