the interviews and they are a computer lab assistant, the CIS Department chair, a professor, and a CIS student. The interview questions, submitted by a student, are as follows:
How many years are you working? How do you like your job? What is your perspective about campus life? What personal and professional benefits are you getting from this job?
How do you handle difficult situations? An additional question comes from a book chapter entitled Stock Interview Questions and seems appropriate for this project: :"How would you change things about
this school?" (Levin 23). First, in conducting an interview for a college newspaper, there are a few things to keep in mind. For example, it is prudent to let the
people talk and not interject with questions (Spark 42). Also, when journalists go out and talk to an under-covered group, they should make a point of doing a little research
first (Gibbs 87). This way, they can speak intelligently about any topic that might come up after an answer to an open ended question is given. The four interviews go
well and in the end, much information is gleaned for the article series. The computer lab assistant is asked the questions and relays the information that he has been only
working at the school two years and he likes his job but does not feel challenged enough. He comments: "I am here because this will help me in the future,
but I really do not enjoy campus life here. I am a bit older than the students and the faculty is much older than I." The interviewer might ask why
