to involve myself hands on with a genuine field professional. After interviewing Juan Casiano, a Dover social worker, my pertinent education was both complimented by his insight and accented
by the inherent realism of field experience. Established in 1905, The Dover Board of Education Child-Study Team provides young children with learning disabilities an opportunity
to seek assistance and to be placed according to their individual respective needs. Mr. Casiano has been gainfully employed by the team since 1976 and is evidently content with
the personal satisfaction derived from his position. Particularly amorous of the plethora of opportunities to deal directly with children and their "growing pains", Mr. Casiano seems thematically impressed with
some of the investigative aspects of his work. For example, he frequently is required to relevantly interrogate a childs family as well as prepare an analysis of the children
themselves and determine solely from their behavior, what their individual needs are. In order to consistently augment his pertinent expertise in social work, Mr. Casiano
ensures himself the periodical receipt of various brochures as he is a member of the National Academy of Certified Social Workers. He also is aware of societal transitions since
he sporadically elects to perform his own relevant research as well. Of course, since Mr. Casiano works directly with a public board of education, there
is no fee for his services other than the salary paid to him by the board. More than content with his position, Mr. Casiano attended Fordham University, obtained a
masters degree. According to that which I was able to infer from our interview, Mr. Casiano in no way regrets his decision to become a social worker.
