that is immersed in the Information Age it is becoming more and more imperative that organizations work together to come under some common roof in offering and using technology in
relationship to the Internet. This is essentially what Internet2 does, in cooperation with other businesses and technological entities. The following paper provides a summary of what Internet2 is all about
as seen through their website www.internet2.org. Internet2 On the website page presented the following is provided in relationship to defining what Internet2
is, and what it aims to do: "Internet2 is the foremost U.S. advanced networking consortium. Led by the research and education community since 1996, Internet2 promotes the missions of its
members by providing both leading-edge network capabilities and unique partnership opportunities that together facilitate the development, deployment and use of revolutionary internet technologies" (Internet2, 2007).
As would be expected this clearly involves a great deal of activity, ideas, interactions and avenues of pursuit. For example, they have a list on the website
of many different classes and meetings that will take place throughout the year, giving the viewer an idea of the extent of the organization.
There is one link which illustrates "Network Performance Workshops for NOAA" (Internet2, 2007). In this particular page the reader is presented with the purpose of the workshop. The
