of opportunities, and the result has led many people to the job of their dreams. Traditionally, newspapers and industry trade
publications have been the main source of job listings for those seeking employment (Gutmacher, 1997). However, in recent times the Internet has quickly come to fill the need for
job seekers and employers alike to get their information out to prospective employers/employees. Because of this, headhunters are quickly realizing what an important resource the Internet actually is, and
are developing strategies to utilize this tool to its full potential. We are truly living in the information age, and
the vastness of the information available is often overwhelming. The same can be said for Internet recruiting, and this holds true for both job hunters and companies with jobs
to offer. "Electronic recruiting is revolutionary, in that it gives us the means to quickly find, attract and evaluate prospective candidates" (Radin, 2003). Therefore, it is often the best
option to use a headhunter, as this organizes the effort and streamlines the process. For example, a company that seeks to hire a new sales person could potentially go
online and try to come into contact with as many individual resumes as possible or, they could use a headhunter/recruiter to assist in the effort, and in this case simplify
