is meant by the term "endangered species." This site also offers information on the causes of endangerment and the role that human activities can play in this process. As this
is a large block of text that covers a tremendous amount of information. The teacher will, first of all, pick various students and have each student read a paragraph aloud
while the rest of the class follows along. Before proceeding to each successive paragraph, the teacher will the class to point out the most important facts in the paragraph that
was just read, which the teacher will record on the blackboard. The second section of the site is entitled "What you can do" and this should, likewise, spark a class
discussion in which the students give opinions and suggestions on what ordinary people can do about this problem. The second Internet-based activity is to have the student access
