2006). The main office in the UK has a small staff of 14 people (CRIN, 2006). This office coordinates activities by 30 national and regional Save the Children organizations around
the world, currently providing services to more than 100 countries (CRIN, 2006). The International Alliance has offices in Brussels, Geneva, and New York in addition to its main office
in London (International Save the Children Alliance, About Us, 2006). The Secretariat in London supports and coordinates all major joint initiatives by local/national Save the Children organizations (International Save the
Children Alliance, Annual Report, 2006). The organizational structure of this Alliance seems to be elusive, however, the 2005 Annual Report was signed by Barry Clarke, Chair, and Burkkhard
Gnarig, Chief Executive Officer (International Save the Children Alliance, Annual Report, 2006). The report also identified the members of the Board, which included chairs, chief executive officers, Secretary Generals and
