contemplating the topic of human rights, one has to ask whether or not there is cultural relatively, or there is an intrinsic sense of right and wrong that permeates the
globe. First, it should be noted that there are no clear distinctions or definitions that would lead one to believe that this situation is settled. In fact, nothing could be
further from the truth. While treaties and agreements do outline areas of human rights, nothing really changes. Even while a war is occurring in the Arab world, Saudi Arabia is
not confronted about the way that the nation treats women. To a large extent, differences are tolerated. On one hand, tolerance is good. On the other, it means that human
rights will likely be violated. In order to understand this topic better, it pays to look at the specifics regarding human rights abuses as well as ideas about culture and
how it plays a role in international relations. II. Culture Michael Freeman explains that human rights are "hard to implement partly because violations of human rights were protected
