choose an entry method. By7 looking at the theory and the application of theory, using models to help determine the best strategies the paper will show that France will be
a good target market when compared to other potential markets including Germany, Malta and Turkey, and that the best market entry method will be an exporting model.
If we consider a Scottish company that has been in business some time and are considering increasing their business by entering the European markets there
will be a number of push and pull factors to be considered. The company will need to be able to identify suitable target markets looking at characteristics of the market
and the accessibility of that market and consider different methods of entry so that market opportunities can be maximized at the same time as a strategy needing to match up
with the core competences and resources of the company (Albaum et al, 2004). There are a number of companies that can be considered, we will use the example of
Drambuie1. Drambuie is a whisky liqueur produced in Scotland, as such any target market will need to be one which the company will feel that they will be able to
access adults of drinking age, finding a market that it will be able to undertake suitable advertising activities and where tastes may suit such a drink and look at the
