Interactive media is now not only used within the traditional classroom setting but is also used as supplements in programs for students who have learning disabilities or are considered at-risk and have not benefited from the traditional system. Despite this newfound resource however, research has demonstrated that many students do not benefit from interactive media education and some become lost or disoriented with the new medium. In addition, in all cases studied it has been found that all students benefit more from interactive media only if it is balanced with teacher mediation and instructor advisement.
