as the processors. If IBM are to stay ahead there is a need to innovate and create more revolutionary innovations, taking larger steps that will be difficult for other
firms to emulate. For this there is a need to enhance the level of the firms ability to undertake creating thinking which leads to potential innovation. To achieve this we
need to look at how innovation may be encouraged and supported and be used to support the idea of a revolution innovation, where major changed and developments take place rather
than looking directly at the technology we will look at the people that can create that innovation. Measurement may incorporation measuring the number of viable ideas that are developed, to
encourage innovation. Next we need to look at how to create innovation and implement processes, buy defining the process and looking at the implementation requirements. Creative thinking is
needed for innovations, and this is encouraged in the way that organizations seek to develop ideas and later the products or processes. The role of creativity in business has been
claimed by many to be essential for the success of business (Johar, 2001). This leads to a company being able to promote itself and then to guide the direction it
