a state of chaos, a state where the right to a safe and nurturing environment is only a distant memory. Part of the problem that has led us down
this path is a growing segment of the population that has no consideration of anything other than their own wants and desires. This coupled with a decline of societal
mores over all has resulted in an unacceptable environment. Too many today choose to satisfy themselves making absolutely no consideration of the impact that their actions will have on
others. Predatory crimes such as child molestation, rape, and murder are the result. Existing laws in many cases are too lenient and should be expediently revised. For
particularly violent crimes there is only one solution. That solution is for the criminal courts to administer sentences that insure a quick and unceremonious death.
The way our society punishes people has evolved out of dire necessity to address those individuals that stray from the moral norms. The death
penalty is one reflection of that evolution. The death penalty, of course, is a highly controversial topic. There are those that contend that it is a gruesome and
uncivilized option for our society, those that contend that we have advanced to the point that we cannot exert the highest penalties even when the criminal in question has committed
the most abhorrent of crimes. Accepting the damage that these deviants have on society is the unacceptable option. Too often the rapist, the child molester, and even the
murderer is set free after serving only brief prison sentences only to rape, molest, or murder again. These individuals have a proven track record, in fact, of being basically
