group of people with a particular goal, work together to achieve something. Clearly this applies to the field of education where teaching must have some solid goals and plans that
address enhancing the learning of students. The following paper examines what Richard H. Hall and Pamela S. Tolberts "Organizations" and Robert G. Owens "Organizational Behavior in Education" have to say
about organization as it involves improving the conditions of teaching. Improving the Conditions of Teaching Hall and Tolberts perspectives on organizations do not necessarily address the field of
education, but there is much in their work that clearly applies. For example, they state, "work which provides challenge, potential for advancement, and the use of creative or expressive capabilities
is enjoyable and even enlightening" (5). While this is a discussion of work and employment, that applies to organizations that are attempting to get better production. Better production applies to
the field of education for if teachers experience the things just quoted, they are likely to perform better in the organization that is the education institution and in so doing
learning will be enhanced for an excited leader or teacher is one who can best impart the desire to learn and do better in the student. In Owens work
the focus is clearly, as the title suggests, much more about the field of education in the nation. The author is not focusing so much on general organization, but notes
that while we expect a great deal the education system does not remain consistent in its approaches or focus within the organization. The author notes that there is a level
