ways it may be improved in the future and also increase efficiency including the use of different tools in project management as well as more general issues that are relevant
in project management practices, such as the control of team dynamics. The organization of a small event such as a cancer research charity run requires a great deal of planning
perhaps more than is initially considered and realised. The planning saw the use of lists to assesses tasks and the allocations of tasks to individuals, but the use of project
planning tools used effectively would have increased the efficiently of the management; however some processes utilised may be seen as very viable. The initial planning stages saw a meeting
of those who had volunteered to take part on the organization of the charity run. This is a useful first stage and allows of the foundations to be set. With
different team members, where some already knew each others, and some where unacquainted, likewise where some had already worked together and some had not, this served as a useful introduction,
and can be seen as a necessary stage as it allows introduction. The meeting was also a stage where the different tasks that would be undertaken were identified and allocated.
However, with the need to rely on good will and a lack of professional project management experience, it may be argued that there were also some omissions that impacted on
later stages of the project, such as a lack of clear definition regarding the scope of the project, as later ideas emerged and were implemented with mixed success. The
