time to reread their work. Sending messages off without proofreading them can lead to odd - and sometimes hilarious - communications. But in business, poor communications skills can cause real
problems, not least of which may be a sudden drop in profits. This paper analyzes three business-to-business messages using the communications process, and discusses how they could be improved. The

The three messages come from three different places: one is a letter, one is a website, and the third is an email. First, we turn to a brief discussion of
the method of analysis, which is the communication process. Communication follows a definite pattern: a person creates a message, sends it, it is received and "translated" and so on. If
