The educational program will be comprised of two 1-hour classes and a simulation-based practicum, in which nurses demonstrate an understanding of the principles of the course and show participation in active and systematic monitoring of patient condition. The core components of the educational program will include the following: 1. The use of assessments of the catheter used at predefined intervals; 2. A understanding of the signs and symptoms of bacteremia; 3.
