to come into a nation with their spouse or future spouse without some photographic evidence that they have held a long standing relationship with one another. This is to ensure
that people do not immigrate under false pretenses such as marrying only to be able to immigrate. The following paper presents a description of a womans situation and her plea
that her fianc? and she do have a long standing relationship, despite lack of photographic evidence. The essay illustrates their relationship and the reason for the absence of photographic proof.
The paper is written in first person. Immigrations Need for Proof Several years ago my fianc? and I met and fell
in love. I was only 17 and my fianc? was 18. Unfortunately both of our parents did not agree with our decision and we were torn apart before we could
marry. At that point we did not have any photographs of us together because it seems that as soon as we met and fell in love our parents separated us.
In addition, without our parents approval we never found ourselves in situations where photographs could be taken of us together. My parents
insisted I marry someone else that I did not want to marry. Because of my culture I did not have a choice in the matter and so I was married
and then went to America with my husband. My fiances parents went to Russia and so we were very much separated by a great distance.
