Currently one of Washingtons hottest topics, the issue of immigration reform continues to be discussed in the halls of Congress as well as in rural towns
all across America. As part of the effort to increase homeland security, especially after the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the United States feels it has an obligation to protect its
borders while enhancing the security and general welfare of the American people. Therefore, the US government has established strict immigration and customs laws to prevent illegal aliens and immigrants who
may be out to do this country and its people harm. Millions, if not billions of dollars have been funneled to these departments and agencies to ensure they have the
technology, resources and personnel to enforce these laws. And understanding how big the United States is and how many borders exist one can only imagine that the country is still
extremely understaffed. However, as the debate rages on in Washington and in these border towns, there are basically two sides to the argument: Those that are in favor of opening
