look to provide quality, are limited with space in terms of warehousing and operations and well as the number of staff that are employed. Looking at different issues we can
address the impact they may have and potential solutions or suggestion to deal with the impact. 2. The Problems The biggest concern is maintaining quality but maintaining this is a
cost efficient manner that also facilitates growth that is projected. 2.1 Capacity Constraints The capacity constraints are a major issues. Most of the year this is not a problem, as
the majority of business takes place in the October - December period running up to Christmas. In term of capacity there are There are six rooms of 600 square feet,
one of which is used for packing, one for administration and the remaining four are stock rooms. This indicates that there is already an increase in the capacity, but with
the increase in stock capacity without any increase in the other areas of the value chain, such as the packing, this may increase the pressure on the packing department. We
are told that each member of staff is able to pack 4.3 packages an hour. This appears to be the bottle neck, and as such the weak point of the
operations. Operators can process 22 orders an hour, the order pickers can pick 20 orders in 45 minuets, in hour terms this is equal to 26 an hour, this is
to supply 6 packers with 4.3 packages an hour mean a total of 25.8 an hour. If more orders increase this means that more packages will be sent
