its founding in 1948, Israel has had to bounce between both extremes, meaning both its government and its population have been divided and polarized for much of the nations short
history. And the countrys Declaration of Independence, Israels founders "proclaimed both the Jewish and democratic nature of Israel. They connected the
storage and modern people Israel and land of Israel when establishing the country as a Jewish country" (Doing Zionism, 2004). Yet on
the other hand, this same declaration also indicated that the country would be fostered for "the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be
based on freedom, Justice and peace as envisaged by the profits of Israel" (Doing Zionism, 2004). So basically, will we have here is also a declaration that provides equality
for all citizens (whether they are Jewish or not) (Doing Zionism, 2004). It is this schism that still haunts Israel today, making
it difficult for any type of governmental or citizen consensus to truly arise. Though many nations of the world are on the attack against Israel, it is more likely
that the destruction of Israel could happen because of the infighting, its own government officials and citizenry. In this paper, we will
examine the secular and the religious, as well as the polarization issues that impact Israel, and determine how such issues formulate the "hawk-dove" situation that we see their today. There
