that few other countries, save Israel, have played such an integral and historical role and influence on the rest of the world. Israel is a land of many secrets, of
much passion, and of much potential. A HOLY PLACE OF WAR Speak of Israel today and immediately people think of the war torn area of the Gaza strip. Both
the Arabs and the Jews still lay claim to Jerusalem. In fact, if this war between the two peoples were just about land, the Arabs have many surrounding Arab nations
to which they could turn to for donated land, or a like ideology. Instead, it is more than a battle about real estate, it is a holy war of religions
and philosophies. Since September of 2000, the tensions have escalated into terrorist activity by the Palestinians against the Israeli people, including car bombs, suicide attackers, and random sniping. It is
indeed not a safe time to be living in Israel. Yassar Arafat, supposed leader of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) has publicly denounced such actions by his over zealous followers.
Yet, the bombings continue. The BBC reports that as the intifada progresses, Palestinians are increasingly demanding the liberation, not just of the West Bank and Gaza, but of all historic
Palestine(Assar, 2002). Apparently, the Palestinians have always taken the stance that the Jews were free loaders or squatters who migrated into
