made? #1. Celeste, a wife and mother of two young children, has decided to go back to work. Her husband works
an extra job, and is tired all the time and does not spend enough time with the family. She will put the children in daycare and will have a 45-minute
commute, but the extra money will help Jim give up commitments. Economically, they will remain about the same but the burden will now be shared more fairly. She expects these
changes will make the family happier. The five assumptions here are that 1) the husband will have more time with the kids;
2) the husband will be less tired; 3) the family will be happier; 4) the burden of family time will be shared more fairly and 5) Jim can give up
his extra commitments. If these assumptions are to be met, then Jim does, indeed, need to give up his extra job (and
try to get some more rest at night); and that Jim needs to spend more time with the kids, and not use his extra time to simply read the paper
or nap. Also, Jim will need to take on some of the extra childrearing chores. Now, the danger here is that Celeste might end up too exhausted to do much
