putting together a merger with EnviroTech. This means well be integrating staff. There will be some redundancies which means layoffs, but once the dust settles, well be in the somewhat
interesting position of having two different corporate cultures within one company. As were the "host" company, as it were, its up to all of us to make the merger process,
and integration process, as comfortable and smooth for the EnviroTech folks as we can. As managers, its up to us to set the
tone for the rest of the staff. Its important that we build a sense of trust and safety for the new employees coming on board; trust, after all, is an
important feature when it comes to relationships with management and employees (Sharkie, 2009). Trust, and good communication, is very important (Sharkie, 2009). Open and honest communication with all the employees
will help build trust - and will hopefully enable the employees to trust us enough to come to us with any issues or difficulties they might have.
