customers a range of information that increases the customers self awareness of risk and makes sure they realise their own responsibilities. The advice given includes avoiding the use of
spy ware and ING tell the customers the location of various anti spyware programmes, such as search and destroy by Spybot and Microsoft Windows Antispyware (ING, 2006). Phising ais also
covered, wanting of what phising is and a statement by the bank that the customer should never log onto their account from a link given in an e-mail and that
the bank will never ask for details by an email. A telephone number is given in case a customer is caught out or simply wants to check if an e-mail
was sent by the bank (ING, 2006). Other advice is given, such as keeping anti-virus software installed and up to date the use of fire walls, and general advice
on keeping access codes safe and confidential are all given. No matter how good the ING confidentially and security is, if the customer provides the opportunity for a breach. However,
this is mainly out of the control of the bank, and giving advice and making their customers aware of their risks and how they can be avoided is the first
stage of protecting the customers. Looking at the system that ING have in place there is also a high degree of protection. The bank state that these are issues
