step along a path that will eventually allow companies to use the Internet to build closer bonds with customers and suppliers and better anticipate and respond to the shifting demand
for manufacturing businesses around the world. There are those who contend, however, that IT management must not be developed offshore; in order to be of any true help to
the United Kingdom, for instance, there needs to be a certain level of professional in those job slots in order to ensure that the job truly gets done correctly (Vowler
1996). The main concerns about the necessity of RAD in the developing countries is that there will be a shortage of RAD professionals who can oversee these programs as well
as an inadequate data bank on which to draw from because traditionally the data is difficult to collect and changes at a rapid pace as well (Mennecke & West 2001).
One study indicates that at least one third of the companies using RAD have data that is updated only monthly at best; and this is data that of necessity
must be updated on a daily basis. This is doing a huge disservice not only to the company but to the customer as well (Centaur Publishing 2001). By presenting
