the case it will be added to the IIS_WPG groups and the domain users and it is created as a local domain account (Stanek, 2007). When this is installed on
the member server it will only be a member of the IIS_WPG group and it is created as a local user account. The account has to be a part of
the IIS_WPG group in order to function properly (Microsoft, 2010). In addition to this the account is also stored in the IIS metabase (Stanek, 2007, Microsoft, 2010). The password
for this account will be created weekly on a random basis, and if needed it will be synchronised. The IWAM password will be rest by the IIS service in the
metabase at start up so that it will match the local SAM password, or where appropriate for domain accounts sop that is will match the Active Directory (Mincrosoft, 2010). The
applicatiosn may fail to stat up if the password is changed in the Active Directory or SAM and a corresponding change has not been undertaken in the DCOM component configuration.
The identity and the password can be reset with the SyncIWAM.vbs script, which will allow them to start, this script can be run under CScript and is found at \InetPub\AdminScripts\
