up a complicated plan and that the order was given to Himmler and Heydrich (1989). It has also been thought that the Nazis were somewhat ambivalent in the autumn of
1941 as they attempted something which had never been accomplished before; they began by deporting German Jews, even before the design of the camps had been completed. It took just
a few months to throw some preliminary plans together and the building of the camps was in full swing (1989). The initial outline of the master plan involved the creation
of a draft to transport the people to the many killing centers. Once the decision was made to destroy the Jews, a plan had to be developed. Killing such a
large group of people required intense planning and a complicated order. Hilberg (1989) says that nothing was simple; neither the preliminary phases of the destruction nor the conclusive endeavors were
without problems and complications. Everything had to be determined from how the transportation would be effected to how the bodies would be disposed of. Although the killings could have been
accomplished without state of the art technology, it seems that technology did play a role. The Nazis used technology and IBM helped. In 2001, attorneys brought a class action law
suit about IBM that claimed the industry giants equipment assisted the activities of the Nazis during the Second World War ("IBM Lawsuit," 2001). However, not too much later, the suit
was withdrawn (2001). Why? There was some concern that it would endanger the legal peace for German companies sought by what is called the Foundation Agreement (2001). The dismissal
