IBMs VP of Learning Ted Hoff that the corporation is, indeed, a learning organization. First is the learning philosophy in which delivering value to customers demands innovation, teamwork and a
high-performance mindset. Learning plays a huge role in this in that it allows the company to develop people and their skills which, in turn, lead to innovative solutions for customers.
Training is a large part of this; Hoff points out that workforce development is an integral part of the corporate philosophy so that employees are trained with the correct skills
to move quickly to take advantage of business opportunities. IBM offers some kind of educational component through more traditional classroom means and e-learning. Furthermore, the learning process at IBM has
