toll at 18,000," 2005). Reporters said that the number of deaths might rise after they go through the rubble and go to areas that are not easily reachable ("Pakistan puts
quake toll at 18,000," 2005). Accessing remote areas is something that has proved to be problematic ("Pakistan puts quake toll at 18,000," 2005). This was also a problem in the
early days of Katrina. To get to people who did not have the wherewithal to get out, the Pakistanis needed helicopters ("Pakistan puts quake toll at 18,000," 2005). Still, despite
the little they had to work with, the workers would try to get the people out alive ("Pakistan puts quake toll at 18,000," 2005). For example, there were 100 people
trapped under an apartment building and 25 bodies had already been pulled out of that disaster ("Pakistan puts quake toll at 18,000," 2005). In fact, there were many such disasters
attributable to this one earthquake. Many of the problems to occur at the time were heart wrenching. For example, in one school building, there were 200 children killed as
