on five nights per week, at 11:35 P.M., in America. Howard Stern too makes jokes but his are often about degrading others. Stern uses midgets, lesbians and stuttering assistants to
make fun of each ones outstanding features. People tune in for the jokes, but also to see heightened sexuality so there is a meld of humor and sex on that
particular late night program. Once a week, there is Saturday Night Live that contains political parodies and Dennis Miller who rants on HBOs Friday night slot and put up
against Leno and Letterman. It seems, that before the American people go to bed, they want a good laugh. Interestingly, they tune in primarily to political humor. Every one of
the mentioned shows does highlight news events and provides political fare, which seemingly allows the people to vent. America runs on big business. Today, executives are rushed and can never
leave the office. Like a series of umbilical cords, todays high priced executive is tied to "work" twenty four hours per day via cell phones, laptops and other devices that
render him the property of the large corporation. By the time the executives highly pressurized day is over, its 11:35, and time to tune in to one of the
after prime time players. What is really going on in this brand of humor? American humor has not always centered around political monologues and dwarf throwing and parody. How has
