there should be basic human rights for all. Indeed, this may be seen as the foundation of the European Unions Human Rights Convention. However, when we consider any issue such
as this there are many facets that are not always immediately apparent. The assumption is that Human Rights can be seen as universally accepted in terms of definition. Yet, as
with any judgement, this has to be subjective as judgement is required in the formulation of a foundation. It has been argued by Adamanta Pollis Peter Schwab that "Human rights
is a western concept with limited applicability". Here we see the way that it is the assumption of western values that may make up the foundation of the value judgment.
However, there are also many cultural and relative elements that have an impact. The problem that we face is the perception that the
way many global problems such as poverty and hunger maybe resolved, ids by the use development of a global culture and a universal acceptance of the meaning of human rights
