company for many years, and it has not done that by accident. While there are always learning curves within any organization, Rolls Royce has come up with what it
feels is the ideal in human resource management. Working with employees in order to keep them motivated is not always an easy task. It is important to consider
what it takes to keep employees interested on the job as well as creative and willing to do their best at all times. Rolls Royce lists several objectives on their
website that they feel are most important in the human resource management end of the business. These are: * Remuneration * Employee communications * Employee welfare * Equal opportunities
(Careers PG, 2002). People are innately more inclined to react positively to supportive and uplifting direction, as opposed to those things that
are oppressive and tyrannical. The successful managers at Rolls Royce have recognized the fact that intrinsic motivation is, without question, "one of the most powerful forms" (Bumpus et al,
1998, p. 451) of motivation. Not only does it improve overall performance and creativity so essential at Rolls Royce or indeed in any organization, but it also stimulates positive
