image they seek to abandon. The issues that surround such mutilation, as presented by the authors below, incorporate a combination of religious and economic aspects that serve to compromise
the fundamental components of human rights, as well as perpetuate such practice even in contemporary times. II. SUMMARY Hanny Lightfoot-Kleins Prisoners of
