theories emanate from nothing. Rather, they are like other theories in some ways and perhaps take a bit from a variety of models. In examining theories of labor, some of
these tend to support certain political positions, while others look to labor as it exists almost on its own. It should be noted that many parties or unions have embraced
the ideal of socialism (Bennett, 2001). While this is the case, there is a broad spectrum of ideas that should be discussed. Marxism for example sees the paid wage laborer
as someone who is alienated and the solution for the problem would come in the form of revolution and an overhaul where the system of communism would be implemented. A
Utopia would come about and there would be no class wars. Other ideas to come form different theorists go to the idea that the labor movement is something that just
exists but is by no means a hostile movement. The state is just as it should be and unions erupt in order to assist in the negotiating process. It is
not adversarial. Other models look at unions with disdain, as if they were ruining what could otherwise be an ideal free market society. Still, others see the answer in more
government control, but not necessarily a communist society. All of the theorists are viewing the same thing but have different points of view. This situation comes about in most
everything. Many people can look at one particular issue and find that they can see the same thing in a different way. In deciding which parts of which theories to
