life Dear Tommy, There are various ways that people define what it means to be successful. Popular sports celebrities and movie stars are portrayed as successful in terms
of their extravagant lifestyles, but true success is more than simply how much money a person earns. True success is when people have the skills and the knowledge to achieve
the dreams and goals that give their lives purpose and meaning. At this point in the students own essay, the student should indicate his or her goals. For example: I
chose teaching as my career goal because I want to share my enthusiasm for and love of history with young minds. This career will enable me to influence successive generations
of students, as I help them understand how history has shaped and influenced the present. I will not earn as much money as a football star, but I cannot imagine
a career for myself that would be more challenging or rewarding because I will be doing something that I love and feel a passion for. In addition to choosing
as a profession something that you feel passionate about, I also recommend four success strategies. The first of these is to develop emotional intelligence, which is defined as "the ability
