individuals need for internal protection of self and property from external harm. While modern technology has made the workplace more cost efficient and ultimately more productive, it has also
made the corporate sphere more vulnerable to attacks against its security through Internet or email worms and computer viruses that can permanently damage hardware and compromise the most confidential of
organizational information. Security management, therefore, has become a delicate balancing act between the incorporation of technology to increase productivity while at the same time decreasing potential dangers to corporate
security. Management officials are constantly confronted with the daunting tasks of technological implementation while at the same time educating themselves on the human nature and psychology that offers perspectives
on why people seek to exploit security breaches to commit crimes. Security management "is about how to manage security and security related topics"
