run. Science is a part and parcel of daily life and while modern inventions make life easier, people get away from the daily cursory knowledge of science that people used
to just understand because everything is so advanced. For example, people press the button on the microwave and cook something that is packaged with all the instructions. In the past,
cooking required knowledge of science as heat is used as well as fire and water and so forth. This is simply one example and by no means implies that people
are not able to cook a meal or understand the mechanics of basic math and science. Still, the world has evolved so rapidly that if a soda can does not
have a tab on it, young people are at a loss for what to do. Indeed, science is important and is aligned with higher forms of knowledge. Curiosity in science
goes back to the beginning of time. It is not something that just cropped up in modern times. Also, it should be noted that science and philosophy are closely related.
In philosophy, ideas are proven as in science. There are systematic inquiries to problems as they present themselves. Within the realm of philosophy of science there are two branches which
are epistemology and metaphysics (Honderich, 1995). Science makes up an important part of the discipline of philosophy. Also, it should be stated that science goes back many centuries. This is
not the first generation to be interested in how things work and the curiosity has always been with man. That said, it seems that Aristotle was "the first systematic philosopher
