law that has great significance, it also has social significance and has significantly altered societys belief system. On the surface, it seems to have swayed the people toward the belief
that abortion is okay, but that is not entirely true. What the case did however is to pave the way for the furtherance of the womens movement and carve a
new position in society for women. First, it should be said that, at least in general, society has no set belief system per se. Individuals have various religious and secular
beliefs. Some people adopt a religion and see it as extremely important and accurate, while others join a sect of some religion and only take significant points from it. In
other words, while abortion is wrong for most religions, some people who claim to be religious see abortion to be a valid option under some circumstances. Of course, ideologically, one
would think that an individual ought to be either opposed to it or accepting of it. In other words, if the fetus is a life, and one believes that abortion
is murder, how can they accept it under any circumstance? That abortion can be necessary under some circumstances, but rejected in others seems disingenuous. Yet, that is a valid view.
Some people believe that abortion is not good. It is not healthy and impinges on some religious beliefs. Still, they do not see abortion as equated with murder and see
some validity in allowing abortion in the case of rape or incest for example. Why should a girl be made to carry a child to term if that child is
her fathers baby too? It would render the baby unhealthy and leave serious psychological scars on both children. It is best to get the young girl out of the dysfunctional
