which resources are allocated according to need and funds are obtained according to the ability of people to contribute? The answer is more complicated than s simple yes or no.
Consider, for instance, the Medicaid program which is designed for low-income individuals, families and children and the CHiP program is for children. Patients receiving health care services through Medicaid do
not pay anything. Whether or not they could afford to pay any amount is not considered. Also consider Medicare, the health care program for those over the age of
65 and certain other populations. Patients currently pay $96.50 for Part A of the program. The premium of $96.50 is a bit higher for those whose annual income is over
a certain dollar amount. Exactly what they pay for doctor, specialist, and other health care providers, prescriptions, emergency room, and so on depends entirely on which Medicare gap policy they
have. That additional policy from a health insurance company may or may not cost the patient a monthly premium. The new health care act will decrease services senior citizens receive.
The Public Health system is administered at the federal, state, city/county and local levels. Cities usually have free clinics or very low-cost clinics administered by the public health system. One
