Gods commandments are written and the subsequent covenant renewal; and finally Joshua leading the Israelites to take possession of the promised land in Canaan, and accomplishing the impossible in order
to emerge victorious in Gibeon - and end with the death of Joshua, present God not as an image but as a complex and multifaceted character. Prior to divine intervention,
