election process, they have also posed some significant problems where accuracy is concerned. A positive impact computers make upon the election process is ensuring that people only vote once.
Many precincts have only recently been able to offer the option of early voting for those who are unable to cast ballots during regular voting hours because of the inability
to control how many times an individual votes. With computer registration, however, this problem is immediately solved when the voters information is instantly recorded as soon as the ballot
has been cast (Pesznecker, 2004). The aspect of traditional ballot counting, on the other hand, reflects a tedious process tallying the votes one by one over a long period
of time. While this lengthy practice virtually guarantees the ability to throw an election, it does consume more time than people are willing to give. "The chief problem
with paper is that it takes too long to count thousands or millions of ballots. We are just not patient enough for such levels of accuracy and accountability" (Vaidhyanathan,
2004). The technological revolution has brought about myriad social changes, not the least of which includes the concept of cybervoting. In its purest form, this alternative to physical ballot
