particular academic program coincides with or supports ones professional goals is to review the requirements of each professional objective with the missions and goals of the program. This could be
accomplished through a graphic matrix or in narrative form, which is what will be used. Consider first the requirements for Facilities Directors. A facilities director is responsible for a myriad
of diverse activities. First of all, the director is responsible for all the activities of the facilities department (Salary.com, 2007). This inherently reveals the director will most likely be responsible
for supervising and managing the employees in that department (Salary.com, 2007). This responsibility is supported by most of this programs missions and goals, for instance, the program prepares students to
not only initiate changes but to lead those changes in the activities of the department. The program also teaches students to acquire an evolving mature commitment to the organization and
to lead in a fair and just manner. A facilities director is responsible for overseeing the proper and safe operations of all building systems, such as fire safety, mechanical safety,
and even the safety of the elevators (Salary.com, 2007). This is an extremely broad requirement of the job and, in fact, says the director is responsible for the safe and
secure operation of all machines, etc. (Salary.com, 2007). As this description is written, the director must perform a variety of diverse tasks (Salary.com, 2007). More than one of the
