does not seem to have an evil bone in his body. In fact, I believe it is possible to glean a great deal of information from the richest man in
the world. Not only is he a technical genius, he is also a business mogul who deserves close attention. Certainly, Gates can provide insights into the business world for any
aspiring executive. Who is a better guide? In fact, his book entitled "The Road Ahead" is a title that has probably most influenced my thinking. Even though
Gates takes a great deal of the credit for the new age of computers, the book has a great deal of value to professionals in particular. The nonprofessional might enjoy
the romp through Gates futuristic home, but the book is certainly more than fluff. Certain portions may appeal to those who are not in the field, but largely this book
should be required reading by programmers or those who are eager to join the ranks of business professionals in general. One of course must get past the Gates prejudices and
tap into the knowledge which is conveyed through the pages of "The Road Ahead." Of particular interest are his ideas concerning the future in general. He sees a completely digital
future. While it does appear that the future is here already, with subway token cards, chat rooms, digital cash, cybersex and video conferencing, Gates provides an astonishing look at the
future. To provide an example of how extreme the man sees the world, in the movie "The Net," Sandra Bullock played a computer hacker who never left her monitor, even
ordering pizza from a web site so she would not have to stop working. Gates has a vision of a future that is even more entwined with digital technology. It
